Whew! I’ve had a lot to post today!

August 30th, 2008

As you can see, we’ve been busy this summer. But that’s a good thing. Now for September, we have my sister Regina coming to visit, my mom’s 50th high school reunion in Maryland then our 4th Anniversary Celebration and sale at the store! Another busy month of things to do! I’m also in the process of updating the bulletin board with lots of project photos, so be sure to check that out too! Hope you enjoyed the photos!

My First Brand New Car!

August 30th, 2008

I am so excited to say I bought my very first brand new car! I’ve bought some really nice used cars in the past, but I have to say there is nothing like buying a new car! Our 2000 Dodge Caravan just hit 119,000 miles and was going to need some work. So we figured with the great finance rates, we would take the new car plunge. We are glad we did! We absolutley love our new 2008 Grand Caravan in inferno red!

A Weekend Getaway After The Fair!

August 30th, 2008

We were very busy at the fair this year. That was a good thing but afterwards we were pooped. So we took a mini vacation of sorts. Brad had to pick up to Uhaul trucks to bring back to his dealership to sell. So we took two trucks down and picked up two for sale trucks in Mass. So for 3 days we drove around in Uhaul trucks. It was actually rather fun. You can see a pick of one of the trucks we drove below. We enjoyed ice cream at Friendly’s, building Morgan a stuffed animal at The Wacky Bear Factory, playing in the kids area at the mall, going to Chuck E Cheese, visiting Fun World and touring the Anheuser-Busch factory. The fun pics from that trip are below!

Lordy, Lordy Look Who Turned 40!

August 30th, 2008

My husband Brad turned 40 this year on August 4th! His sister came to visit us in July and we did a little celebration then. But on his actual birthday we had a nice dinner at home, with his mom and my mom, with some cake as you see Morgan enjoying below. Plus, raspberry pie which is Brads favorite. He’s holding his treasured pie in the picture below.

If you are interested in Avon products, come pick up a free catalog at my store. You will have the conveneince of ordering and picking up your order when you are ready. Rather then waiting for me to find time to deliver it to you! They have so much more then just cosmetics and skin care. So when you have time, come take a peek at one of there catalogs! Wish me luck!

Fair, Floods & Flies…Oh My!

August 6th, 2008

We’ve had loads going on this week! I am at the Addison County FAIR & Field Days all week. We set up partially on Sunday then I came early Tuesday and finished up before the fair opened at 10am. I started out the fair with getting bit by a black FLY and now have a huge wallop on my leg! But we had a great day at the fair yesterday. We were very busy and the candy was a huge success! Today is slower and that is why I have time to post!

East Middlebury was evacuated for possible FLOODing this morning. But I am happy to report that the area around our store was not evacuated and the store is fine! The 125 bridge near the Wayberry Inn did wash out and many roads are closed in and around that area. Nasty rain!

It’s pooring VERY hard right now. I guess I will run and check in again later!
